Boo?
SO today I saw a homeless man hide in a bush then jump out at some students yelling “BOO!”… he then preceded to ask them for money… not exactly the tactics I would use to get some change.
I hear Busch Gardens is hiring people to walk around during Halloscream and scare people in the park…. maybe I should tell him to apply for a job there.
At least he’s being creative with it. So far, besides a band in need of gas money, i haven’t seen any street performers. One of the things I always love about the mall district of washington dc when I go there are the homeless street performers. Beat-boxers, rappers, guitarists, harmonica players, even comedians. My favorite by far was a very old black man with a cheap pawnshop guitar, and a cheap pawnshop amp plugged into a streetlamp, Playing some amazing blues guitar, and it was obvious he wasn’t playing for the coins in his cup. he was playing for the joy of the music and performing.
I love them! I’m from Virginia Beach and I always see people like that on the boardwalk. It reminds me of August Rush, if you haven’t seen that movie… you need to!
